These elements give the finishes an elegance that recalls Byzantine artistic works, enhancing a thousand-year-old technique that is suitable both for the conservative restoration of historic buildings and as a decorative solution in the modern design of internal and external environments.

BIZANTINO is a highly breathable mineral coating, made with the best slaked lime cooked in wood-fired ovens and subjected to a long seasoning, essential to guarantee stability and durability of the product. Its composition also includes metallic aggregates with silver, gold or bronze reflections, selected and balanced marble powder, additives of vegetal origin and organic additives lower than 5% (dry residue – compliant with DIN 18363, 2.4 .6), earths and inorganic oxides. The use of lime as a binder gives maximum transpirancy, promoting the natural diffusion of humidity through the plaster and masonry. Furthermore, the high basicity of the mineral component does not favor the formation and proliferation of mold and bacteria, unless external factors modify the pH. Thanks to the carbonation process, the plaster forms a solid and unalterable network over time.

BIZANTINO, thanks to its mineral composition, is highly resistant to light, non-flammable, non-toxic and non-polluting. It is important to underline that, due to the materials used, the product may suffer stains and discolorations in an uneven manner during application, due to different absorptions of the support, and over time, due to various environmental factors. Such imperfections should not be considered defects of the product, but rather a characteristic of its naturalness.
